Using rail travel vouchers for Oyster PAYG

this might sound naughty, but would this be a way of converting NRV to cash?

Load the NRV onto oyster as PAYG credit and then get a refund of PAYG credit to bank account over the phone?

Yes it is possible, but some people have been rumbled by TfL trying to do this. I wouldn't recommend it.
Note however, that some TOCs will convert RTVs to other forms. Southern convert to their RTVs cash at any Southern-managed ticket office, and I think East Coast will convert them to eVouchers if you ask.

Sorry to bump an old thread but has this been implemented yet?

Specifically I have a Cross Country voucher which I'd like to load onto an Oyster Pay As You go this weekend.

The Service Delay refunds scheme has been introduced to replace the Customer Charter for Oyster Online users, but you can still "cash in" Rail Travel Vouchers or Customer Charter Vouchers for Oyster PAYG credit/Travelcards/NR tickets at LUL ticket offices.

When was this introduced as I still had a CC voucher in May.
