Yes I was told the same but it's been nearly 3 weeks now since passing medical. I too would need to give two months notice so this week is the latest I could hand in notice to start in sept..if it's late sept. I wonder if they've had a larger number of people go through than they expected and we'll end up in a talent pool? im still hopeful though!

I would like to think that having been put through a medical a talent pool would be a bit of a waste of money, i think it is just a case of we are all getting a bit excited! Me included!

Yes let's hope so but when you are waiting it just seems such a long time to not hear anything! No news is good news though and it appears we are all in the same boat.

Had my medical on Wednesday. Really hoping to hear from them soon. I've got to give a month's notice so I'll need to know this week in order to make the September intake.

That's what happened in Normandy with the Germans no-one would make a decision because their leader was sleeping!

Just got off phone with Laura (FL HR). I've been offered a position in Eastleigh, start date 22nd September. We'll chuffed!! :D :D

Keith/Andy well done guys! I notice the positions so far have all been south of Birmingham. I looked at the original advert and these did not appear to be choices, can you shed any light?

I thought this to not sure why the locations are different but I'm still happy to accept
Just waiting to receive the letter of confirmation which will probably have more details in how everything is going to work and where the training will be

Training will be at Crewe afaik. As Andy says letter will go into detail. I originally applied for Bristol but am happy just to have the opportunity anywhere! Once you're in... Look forward to seeing you all there! ;D

Also had a call today, also starting 22nd sept. Absolutely delighted, can't wait to start!!!

I'll be based in Peterborough.

See you on the 22nd guys. Good luck to those still waiting.

Great news

Eastleigh would have been great for me as I'm just up the road. Was told at my interview there weren't any vacancies there with none likely to occur so surprised at this

Possibly not successful this time then.

I didn't have much light shed on start dates or course numbers however I'm happy to relocate

Will see what the next four weeks bring

Got my letter through today, also starting on the 22nd September in Crewe & will be based in Crewe after training. :D

Congrats to all who have got through so far. I had my Managers interview on the 31st July but was told it could be up to nine weeks before I hear anything.
About the medical, could someone tell me what this consists of please regarding tests, hearing, vision, previous illnesses, etc?

Hi gash, you heard anything about a medical yet? I had my dm interview 3 weeks ago and still not heard anything :( i hate the waiting
