The black and white dial. I've seen them a few times and always wondered.
Thanks!

Top right? It's the AWS indicator, usually referred to as a 'sunflower'. The picture looks a bit washed out, I think it should usually be more yellow than that, but then I haven't seen every system in use.

That's the indication shown when the last AWS magnet passed presented a restriction.

If you are referring to the AWS it goes to a yellow sunflower when you're on a cautionary aspect or anywhere else a magnet may be places e.g TSR/ESR's, and black for a clear indication (green)

Cheers, all. For reference, I meant the thing above the red and blue indicators/buttons.

@sutty What class of loco/unit is the picture of the cab panel taken from?

I wish I could tell you. Doing my nut trying to find the original image. I used the snipping tool to get just that part of the image.

Would make a great quiz on here, though. Guess the class by a panel of the desk.

It looks like a networker, to me but I'm not sure

The metal button is the AWS reset. This one protrudes a bit more than some and has a nice bright green(ish) surround.

I'd say the surround is more yellow on the 465s. The 365s are (or were) the same, but don't have the yellow (or bright green) surround.

The photo doesn't do the colour justice. especially as its "high vis"

Judging from the full picture posted I would certainly say (as previously stated) its the AWS reset button.
