There are big delays due to a OHLE problem at Berwick, while a signal fault in the Stevenage area is delaying services by half an hour, not much luck for today!

I'm on the 6:45pm Leeds to KX... My first time on East Coast... Hopefully it goes okay.

I wouldn't worry about it. The ECML is that long there is often a problem somewhere.

It only tends to get really bad when a major problem occurs on a 2 track section south of Doncaster. Anything else and they can usually work around it with just a couple of cancellations here and there.

Uh oh, I'm meant to be travelling from York to Kings Cross at 7pm tonight, here's to hoping things sort them out!

Annoyingly, our HST has been swapped for an IC 225 due to the problems up in Berwick, so my reservation for a table and window, is now airline seating and a lovely pillar view. :(

1E06, 0650 Glasgow-KX lost its pantograph, causing damage to the overheads on the south end of the viaduct at Berwick. Luckily no damage to the down line wires so single line working could at least be implemented while repairs took place.
