No help for railcard holders indeed, but it is for those without them.

Should be more super off peak fares from January though, if it's any consolation.

I've miraculously got an email from EMT for £10 off tickets to/from St Pancras if booked by 27/11. PM if interested for the code but I think it's unique to my email address unfortunately.

I had that too... quite good timing as I was about to book all my Christmas and New Year travel :)

One can obtain PAYG O2 SIM cards for free online, or for about £1 in Tesco, Home Bargains etc. i assume this would still count if registered, even with no prepaid credit? :)

I believe you need to have the O2 APP as this appears in the priority o2 app.. I have a code and have all my trips to Newcastle and Edinburgh for the qualifying period booked as flights so first person to DM me the gets the code,

Just do what I did, get a free O2 sim, put it in your phone, download the Priority app. Then put in your old sim, and the 02 app will remain.

Thanks very much for the heads-up. This poses a dilemma - last year I did the Chronicle offer, but just after that EC had their own January sale, which was better. But the last EC sale in October was pretty expensive and restricted. It's a tricky one.

I agree. EC's Jan Sale last year was £5 singles Yorkshire - London all round, the October one was a bit useless.

The last East Coast sale actually cost me money as they got rid of the cheapest tier of advances for the duration.

Hoping for £5 again in Jan but I won't be delaying my advance purchases in anticipation.

According to today's Chronicle the voucher sale had been postponed due to "unforeseen circumstances". No new date given. No reason given.

Strange you only need 4 vouchers in Yorkshire (valid for up to four people travelling) but 6 per person in the North East. I suppose it depends on what deal the newspapers offer East Coast.

East Coast/Newcastle Chronicle Voucher offer

Vouchers appeared today and will continue to be printed till 11th December.

Booking for this opened this morning. It's not great, it's just started and there's not much availability for down (or up, if you prefer) to London in the morning, and back in the evening.

Print-at-home is the only ticket option, oddly.

Book with Abellio Greater Anglia between 14 December 2014 and 4 January 2015, and you'll be on track for superb savings. For travel between 5 January and 27 February inclusive, we're offering 90,000 off peak seats at the amazingly low price of £5 one way.

The offer is available for Intercity services between Norwich (plus intermediate and connecting stations) and London Liverpool Street. So it's the perfect opportunity to have a day out in the capital or explore East Anglia

Nice warm day at the seaside anyone?

If anyone has a Virgin Money account the 10% offer on Virgin Trains only tickets is ending on 31st December and doesn't allow tickets to be brought for January 2015 dates at the discounted price now.

I don't think I got this. Hoping they do a good January sale though. I've saved up buying a few weeks of AP tickets in anticipation! :D

Don't railcard users get a big slice of the pie every other time they buy tickets? :D

I wonder if SWT will have some sort of promotion once the weekend Wimbledon diversions have come to an end in February. I doubt they will do a repeat of the Winter Smiles campaign with those works in place.

I can currently book advances London to Sheffield and back in late February for £9 each way.

Is that a special offer ? - I'm sure I paid more earlier this year and I always seek out the lowest fares.

Doesn't make the January sale £30 return look very appealing unless that's buy on the day.
