Are there any depot drivers on here that would be happy to have a conversation with me about the role and what it actually consists of so I can be prepared if asked to attend an interview.

Thanks in advance!

Play nice TB, we all know that every mainline driver aspires to being a shed driver but we dont have the correct aptitude for it as DD are a special breed. ;)

Oh bugger, now I have done it.

I actually do have a lot of respect for depot drivers, I will shortly be doing Night turns on the shed (already done one shadowing another driver) and it isnt as easy as it looks, and that was just driving and prepping, no tanking, fuelling etc.

Edit-
Just looked and Beveridges wont be able to reply to this thread.

Every respect for em, means I can go home and leave the shunting to they who know the yard better!

Hi 455driver.

As you said that you have done some shadowing and are about to work some night shifts, would you know of or have a contact that I would be able to talk to in regards to depot driving.
Thanks.
