Manchester Victoria is also an absolutely rank underground station.

Well, I learn something new everyday. I know that there were the PIC-VIC proposals to connect both the stations of Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly as part of an inner-city underground system, but this was never proceeded with. Howsoever, if approved at Ministerial level and then built, the Ordsall Chord project will provide the first overland heavy-rail connection between those two stations. If you are interested, the River Irk actually flows under Manchester Victoria station and this could well meet your description of "absolutely rank" in its emitted odours.

Yep, it does smell quite a lot! Thanks for the info.

Would it be better as Manchester Victoria is also a station with both heavy rail and metrolink that is ver dim.

Warrington Bank Quay is another station where you can board a 142/150/156 to go to Liverpool Lime Street.
