Won't be an 8 coach train, unless it has a guard on it all the way to Marylebone, DOO is only signed off for a maximum of 7 coaches at present i believe

Do Birmingham runs not have guards throughout?

DOO now operational for eight cars at BCS. Could be interesting on Tuesday morning when commuters for 5+ London trains stand waiting in their usual place and find their train whizzing past to the end of the platform.

From this weekend DOO is allowed on 8 coach services between Marylebone and Banbury, if they only call at Bicester North only, if they are booked to call at any other intermediate station they require a guard until the other stations are cleared for 8/9 car DOO operation

Does that mean that all trains longer than 4 cars will stop at the far end of the platform? That'll put most of them some way from the steps from the footbridge, which will give people a shock if they're cutting it fine!

Yes. It does mean precisely that.
