When I last did the Northern day ranger offer the guy at Nottingham had never seen one before. Issued duly though..

I'm not too surprised that he hadn't seen one before in Nottingham.
I do think its about time that Northern came to some arrangement with the local newspapers in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire so that we can get hold of some tokens down here. I don't know if there is the same problem in Lincolnshire.

It's not as though we are outside the Northern area as Northern Trains do serve Nottingham, Langley Mill, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Worksop, Retford etc.
It would just be good to be able to get some tokens and make use of these excellent offers from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire stations served by Northern services.

Isn't the current offer available from a Nottingham press?

Blackpool Gazette has an advert in today saying that tokens for the Northern £12.50/£20 offer start next week.

This is the link to which newspapers will have the tokens in-very limited range this time with papers from Hull, Scunthorpe, Stoke, Nottingham and Lincolnshire being the ones listed.
http://www.northernrail.org/lw2015/newspapers

I travel between Bradford and Sheffield so any ideas of newsagents along this roué that may stock any of them?
I've yet to check WH Smiths at Leeds Train Station.

Also does anyone know if the tokens are the same as the previous ones in March?-I still have a few left!!

Thanks for that information. It's the first time I've heard about them being available as far south as Nottingham. Unfortunately I won't be able to get any as I'm away on holiday until the middle of next week. However, I will look out for future offers.

Just found out that I can use two token from the same day and so will go and buy 2 copies of The Nottingham Post this afternoon before I go,away.

Yes, all tokens are the same, and I bought eight copies yesterday just to save on further trips north.

What a shame I am not anywhere near the areas which have these tokens :(. Maybe one day they will include a Teesside paper! :)

Just had an email from Northern saying tokens will appear in Johnstons Press papers from Monday May 4th. Seems to be the same as in previous offers. For me that me means Leyland Guardian, Lancs Evening post and Wigan Evening Post. Offer is from 5th - May to 28th June, except 23 - 31 May . £12.50 per ticket. £20 weekend .

Why do I get the feeling that Northern must have found these offers successful, since they extended the availability area this year. There is little danger of this offer being withdrawn at any time then. :D

Have seen on the link that the Northern Rail offer will be in Johnston Press, including the Sheffield Telegraph. I've had a look in the Sheff Telegraph from last Thursday edition and (Unless I've missed it ) I can't see it. Does anyone know when the tokens will be in please? Thanks in advance

There was an add in today's Northern Echo for a £15 Northern day ranger ticket offer, with tokens starting next Monday (18th).

£15, eh? Guess the closer to summer we get, the more it'll cost. I wonder if we'll have an offer on year-round at this rate...

SWT £12 day returns (£1 for kids)
18 may to 29 may
Www.Southwesttrains.co.uk/may

(Link probably not working yet, taken from poster at local station)
Usual book one day in advance

Link is now woking, but can't get it to come up with any fares for the journey I wish to make; Farnborough to Surbiton.

Off peak day return is £14.40 so should come down to £12.

Anyone any suggestion why it might not be working?
