I am putting in a Compensation claim as i was on the Manchester Picc to Blackpool north service on Tuesday at 15.45pm which due to it running very late it did not get as far as blackpool but ended at Preston.

so does anyone on here know how i can find out how late it was down to the minute and also the real reason as the guard came on but no we could not hear as it we was on a very old Northern train but a TPE service!!!!

why are TPE using Northern rail old trains anyway?

Unfortunately cannot help on the real reason of the delay. But TPE are using what you call a very old Northern rail (class 156) because of their class 170s being taken off them and taken down south and for TPE to run the services they have had to hire in trains, and those trains have come from Northern. Hope that explains it a bit more.

The reason was overhead line damage at Ardwick Junction.

Many thanks for that.

Do you know how many minutes we got into Blackpool north due to having to change trains in Preston?

Think it was almost a hour.

Think it was a 5.28pm that we got from from Preston and that one was running late as well.

The 1728 left Preston on time, so its more likely you joined the 1748 service, which left Preston 10 minutes down and terminated Blackpool at 1824.
