Hi everyone.

I hate to sound like an advert, but you really should head to Railrover.co.uk and have a look at hellfire. If you've ever enjoyed a spot of haulage bashing, and/or know anything about BR in the summer of 1981, then this really is what you've been looking for. At the moment, version 3 is going through its paces, and having minor kinks ironed out. In addition to that, the author manages to shoehorn in some fantastic new features virtually every week.

If you played the old version, which comprehensively covered virtually all regular and potential loco-hauled travel, then you might not necessarily be familiar with new features in V3. These include STN diversions, shunt releases, railtours, relief services, the APT, and the ability to select custom photographs, right down to each individual loco, plus more stuff I can't quite remember!

I suggest you give it a go. There is nothing like the thrill of scratching your first 56 on a breakdown rescue!

Ridiculously enjoyable, I managed an admirable (?) 464.2 points before being done for travelling without a ticket!

EDIT-792.1 on the second attempt!

Aye, many a frustrating hour spent with the deckchair at Westbury, and various Glasgow suburban stations chasing those elusive ML 37s and of course 901 ....

Perhaps I should warn you, V3 won't have rescues on the suburban lines. Loco's wouldn't power the sliding doors. You can pick up ML whoppers on motorail services though! (Another new feature!)

Is there any way to stop it from forcing itself fullscreen constantly, I have a massive monitor and don't wish to let it take up the full lot!

I love this game, so far, nearly 17,000 points in my career.

Only gripe is " I keep getting chucked out of TOPS offices " ..lol

I have spent 90 mins this morning, playing it.

Hi all,

I now remember this from years ago. I used to put a lot of time into it. Was always running on my PC when I ran my own company, though I lot of time it was paused. Downloaded the latest version and upon running it for the first time all the memories came flooding back.

Great way to get to know and "see" the country.

Bye for now,

Stephen.
