Or not playing

Nevertheless, Bournemouth remain the only league team we've beaten this season ;)

I know. How annoying is that?! <(

When was the last time Arsenal didn't get ball No.1 at the third round draw? :D

Chesterfield v Walsall ... FA Cup ... I can't raise myself above a meh for this.

Having sacked our manager last weekend after a humilating 0-4 defeat at home (which made me £50 off a £2 bet how predictably bad we are), we've no proper manager and no fit full backs. We've lost every game since the 1st round. Weather conditions are atrocious. Don't see how we can possibly win ....

Nice try BBC but it's the wrong time of year for April Fools.

Lescott, scoring. Yeah right

A point is welcome but I hope it's not too little too late

Halesowen Town 1....Hyde United 1

Quite a tough away fixture for Hyde, who did well against a higher placed league side, recording their first away draw this season.

Halesowen Town in 7th position and Hyde United in 10th position.

FA Cup Second Round
Sheff Utd 1-0 Oldham

Oldham have been knock out of FA Cup after Done score for Utd after two mins from restarted, Sheff Utd also had player sent off in 67th mins but Oldham couldn't found that equaliser goal, disappointed that Latics have been knock out of cup knowing Sheff Utd are better team than us but aleast we had better game then last two matches and were better team once Sheffield went down to 10 men.

Hard luck to Northwich Victoria who were 2-0 up against Northampton with 8 mins to go but three late goals from Northampton knock lower rate team out of competition.

Is one big joke Oldham is having this year and from local Oldham chronicle paper is believe that is third months in row that Oldham Athletic players and staff haven't been paid so not just last months that haven't been paid.

This Saturday Oldham are in FA Cup Second round action and if they beat Sheff Utd they get £27.000 which be boost for Latics plus probably trip to one of big teams in third round, lose and I feel money wiser at Latics will get lot worse special if we get relegated to League two come May. :(

Shame for Oldham, but it's strange that so many Lancashire clubs are in debt. There's Blackpool, Burnley, Wigan, Blackburn, Oldham and now Bolton. Will Rochdale be next? Or Bury?

Obviously Yorkshire clubs are more sensible, but I still pity the poor football fan who wants to see a local team perform well. Preston North End (who beat Burnley away 2-0 the other day) and Accrington Stanley are the only ones who now how to (or can afford to) play at this stage. Hopefully things will improve.

And hopefully my team can rejuvenate themselves. Come on York City! Accrington seem to be our bogey team, I'd like them to go bust, quite frankly. :D

I bet bb21 will be pleased with that goal

I am ambivalent, it's always enjoyable to see one of the moneybags teams in trouble but we really could do with Bournemouth getting a whooping

Thought Bournemouth winning was a bit of a shock, then I realised it was played at Stamford Bridge!

Dover Athletic won 5-2 at home to a poor Aldershot side, back up to 3rd in the Conference National (for the time being).

Winchester City 3...Wantage Town 0 (Smeeton 2, Bentley 35, Mills 48; John s/o 20)

Another home game and another win for Winchester. Charlie Smeeton scored 2 minutes into his third City spell before the visitors were reduced to ten after a horrendous foul by their number 8; late, high, dangerous and right in front of the ref. City continued to dominate and Warren Bentley made it two before Leigh Mills scored early in the second half; had it not been for the visiting keeper, Winchester could have had eight or nine. To make things even better, Tiverton lost, so City go clear in second.

As for Chelsea, this song probably sums the season up.

Chesterfield 1-1 Walsall

I should have known the football gods would find it funny for me to have to go to Walsall the week before Christmas ... watch out for a future post in Fares Advice for the best way to get there ;) ...

We were much better this week, the wind pretty much ruined the game but a draw was the least we deserved. Both goals were very odd, with no idea how either of them ended up in the net.

Oxford United are through to the 3rd Round of the FA Cup following a 1-0 victory at home over Forest Green Rovers in what eventually turned out to be a fast paced, entertaining cup classic! (ish) :)

Good result for The Wednesday today, a 0-0 draw at home to Derby County. The same fixture last season was also 0-0.

I see if you beat Chesterfield in replay is away trip to former manager Dean Smith team Brentford.

You must be happy to be home to Swansea in third round of draw?

I see ball number 61 which will been Oldham have got away trip to Manchester United in third round draw <( and hear I thought 2015 can't get any worse for Latics.

Arsenal v Sunderland
Brentford v Chesterfield/Walsall
Cardiff City v Grimsby/Shrewsbury
Carlisle v Yeovil (Long way for Yeovil fans)
Chelsea v Leyton Orient/Scunthorpe (I'm sure one user will be happy with that draw)
Eastleigh v Bolton
Everton v Dagenham & Redbridge/Whitehawk
Exeter City v Liverpool
Salford/Hartlepool v Derby
Leeds v Rotherham (That match should be interesting)
Man Utd v Sheffield Utd
Newport County v Blackburn
Northampton Town v MK Dons
Norwich v Man City
Oxford Utd v Swansea
Wycombe v Aston Villa

Providing we beat Leyton Orient in the replay (we should , but it won't be easy seeing as they are going well in L2), then Chelsea is a winnable match with them woefully out of form.

Very happy familyguy99 we were only a replay away from the same fixture at this stage last year! It was only 2005 when we were both League 2 sides as well! Surely it can't be just me (and my obvious bias!) that smells an upset? ;)

Disappointed with our draw, an exact replay of last year's 3rd round tie. I'm sure Reading fans are equally disappointed though. Hopefully the game itself will be an improvement, it certainly couldn't be much worse!

To be honest Brentford would be a new ground for me and we haven't had many of them this season :) Just don't think it's 'inspiring' enough for us to go and beat Walsall now....
