Effective 31 December 2015, Jordy a long standing member of the Forum Staff will be resigning, and hanging up his magic buttons. Below follows a message to you all from Jordy:

Jordy said:
I joined the forum way back in 2005, shortly after it was founded - I was a normal member until 2007 when I started running Photo of the Week, something I'm still doing today. I became a full moderator in December of the same year so by the time I hand back the keys I'll have done just over 8 years of service! The forum has been through some interesting times while I've been here - several other staff members have come and gone whilst the popularity of the place and the number of members has always continued to increase, which is great to see.

I will be sad to go, but I don't have the same amount of time to dedicate to the place that I once did, and the outside world takes precedence! However, I'm sure I'll still browse and post the same as I do now - but as a normal member rather than a moderator. I shall have to make more of an effort to attend forum meets to make sure I don't totally lose touch. I'd like to thank all the other staff members for the support and laughs over the years - it's not the easiest of jobs trying to keep the peace on such a big forum! And for those of you I know personally I'm sure I'll see you soon.

Cheers,

Jordy

Do not fear, our Photo of the Week competition will be continuing, although you will find it being managed by various other forum staff. We are not planning to appoint any further moderators at this time, although we will continue to monitor the situation.

I'm sure you will all want to join the Forum Staff in extending our thanks to Jordy for his efforts over many years.

Thanks and regards,

The Forum Staff

Thanks for the hard work Jordy - not least for being the organiser of the first forum meet I attended, but also for putting up with my POTW mitherings :P

Hope to still see you about :)

Has it really been that long? Crikey hasn't time flown by, quite it feels like forever since I bumped into you on that Retro tour!

I know how you feel about not having the time, I often don't get more than a couple of minutes a day to spend on here. Good to hear you'll be sticking with the forum though :)

The first forum member I ever met, who rescued me and the other half wandering around outside a packed pub in Euston prior to the Pretendolino farewell trip!

Enjoy your "retirement" Jordy, I am sure you have more than earned it!

Surprisingly, Jordy isn't a veteran member yet.

I know that it's about post count, but he's been here for over ten years - over eight as a moderator! Is there any way of giving him the rank anyway?
