Oldham 1-2 Millwall (League One)

We probably deserve aleast point in this game as we were better team once we equaliser but good cross in and head from Morison won match for Millwall.

This could be last match under David Dunn as they been rumours that if Oldham lost today (like they done) then Dunn would be sack, I wouldn't be too surprise if he did got sack given we haven't performance well under him but sound like we were better today which may keep him as boss of Oldham for one more week.

Minor upset in FA Cup today.

Brentford 0-1 Walsall
Colchester 2-1 Charlton
Peterborough 2-0 Preston
Eastleigh 1-1 Bolton
Ipswich 2-2 Portsmouth
Northampton 2-2 MK Dons
West Brom 2-2 Bristol City

Why? A Liverpool under 21 team should be able to beat a League Two team who have not won for four games. The only thing in Exeter's favor was the pitch.

I could have worded it better but I meant that from what I saw of the game Exeter were the better side.

I'd disagree, Villa had a very strong side out. Liverpool on the other hand....

It's pretty much our only side. Our squad has been tiny for as long as I remember except maybe under St. O Neill but it didn't matter because he played the same bloody players anyway!

Huddersfield Town 2-2 Reading

Disappointed with a draw, as we really should have been over the hills and far away but for some appalling decisions from the officials. Firstly the booking of Nahki Wells after he was brought down by Al-Habsi, then the failure to award a free-kick for a foul on the same player, which lead to Reading's equaliser. Not that you'd know that any of the above took place if you were relying on Match of the Day. Would it have been so hard to consult with BBC Local Radio teams for an overview? I've a good mind not to renew my license in the future... Of course there was time to show Van Gaal's rictus grin several times during his side's bore-fest though.

Rochdale 2 - 3 Chesterfield

Due to us having 3 away game in Jan I opted out of this one and watched Soccer Saturday instead...
Apparently we just about deserved the win, and that makes it one draw and two wins for Danny Wilson so far.

Bloody Colchester managed to stay in the FA Cup anyway so our game on 30 Jan will be postponed so there was no need anyway :( Have to go there on a weeknight again ....

Well Chelsea are leading 1-0 thanks to Diego Costa. :(

In the other FA Cup game, Carlisle lead 1-0 against Yeovil at Blackpool. Rangers are beating Cowdenbeath 4-1 at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup.

Agreed re: officals. Couldn't see whether Wells dived or not, but mystified how he didn't send off Danny Williams for raising a hand to one of your lads. However, he also missed a stonewall pen when we were 2-1 up and Vydra was poleaxed in the box, and if the lino had given the throw-in to us instead of you as he should have 10 seconds before your penalty, then we wouldn't have a replay. That said, great 2nd half, Hudds played very well whilst we showed spirit often lacking recently.

The ref was below par for both teams, but Al Habsi's reaction (or lack of) spoke volumes about the first penalty shout!

The big results of the weekend came in the Scottish cup

Annan Athletic (Scottish League Two) 4 Hamilton (Scottish Premiership) 1

And well done to ten man Linlithgow Rose, who came back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Forfar Athletic

Is it me or is the Scottish Cup a lot more exciting than the FA Cup nowadays?

Given Oldham owners like to do thing on cheap side I wouldn't be surprise to see David Dunn become our new player/Manager plus when we sign Dunn back in July lot of our fans believe he be our new manager before xmas as quite lot of them thought Darren Kelly will get boot by xmas, we wait and see who become new Oldham boss.

Your crystal ball was spot on back then, it didn't last long though...

League One side Oldham Athletic have sacked manager David Dunn after a run of seven league games without a win.

Dunn replaced the fired Darren Kelly in September on a temporary basis and was given his first management role permanently after a month.

The 36-year-old, who joined the Latics as a player last summer, won just three of his 20 games in charge.

I did mention on Saturday that it might been Dunn last game for Oldham.

This could be last match under David Dunn as they been rumours that if Oldham lost today (like they done) then Dunn would be sack.

Is right decision that he left as we haven't perform well under him but I'm more please to see Holden left too as since he become Assistant Manager Oldham haven't done well and saw somewhere that we only won ten games since he become Assistant Manager.

I notice BBC Manchester radio believe that Oldham have already made decision on new manager and this person is still at current club.

@bbcradiomanc understands #OAFC have appointed a replacement for David Dunn and are finalising terms with his club.

^^ I wouldn't be surprise if it isn't John Sheridan as he know club inside out and he was our manager about six/seven ago and did good job too.

I'm not so sure, he's only been at Newport since October and done a pretty good job considering the circumstances.

Not too sure what contract Sheridan is on at Newport but it seen like he allowed to talk to over clubs as believe that Notts County was interesting in him before they appointed Fullarton.

I see Oldham have confirm that new manager could be appointed as early as tomorrow afternoon and everything seen to be pointed to Sheridan returning to Oldham manager and it wouldn't be bad choice if it is Sheridan.

We've just confirmed the signing of Jonjo Shelvey from Swansea. I am quite pleased with this one a hefty price tag but the most advantageous point is that it will now allow Gini Wijnaldum to play in a more advanced role behind Perez and Mitrovic.

Sheridan is only on a short term contract until the end of the season at Newport. Wont be particularly expensive to buy him out.

Sheridan still lives in Yorkshire, he quit Plymouth as it was reportedly too far from home for him. Newport isn't that much closer. Oldham is quite a lot closer and a club he is fond of apparently.

With Sheridan, you wont get pretty football but he will get solid defensive results based on what I saw of him at Plymouth and Newport.

He strikes me as a bit of an under achiever, but time will tell;)

Winchester City 2...Eastleigh 1 (Basker 80, Bentley 85, Bentley m/pen 81; Midson 2)

Winchester City pulled off a fantastic shock in the Hampshire Senior Cup tonight. Eastleigh went ahead inside 80 seconds but Winchester refused to wilt and matched them for the rest of the first half. In the second half Winchester were the better side and with ten minutes to go Basker was played through and finished under the keeper. A minute later Winchester get a penalty but Warren Bentley's effort is saved, before Jamie Barron sees his effort hit the bar. With five minutes left, Basker sends in a low cross and Bentley converts to atone for his penalty miss and set up a home tie against Sholing (from Sholing).

Attendance: 304
