B7L 60917 has finished its loan to Stagecoach in Plymouth.
It was back at Taunton depot today <(

Today reported on Travel West Yorkshire forum that B7TL 30870 has gone from Bradford to of all places Weston-Super-Mare !!!

I do wonder if the Yorkshire poster possibly without intimate knowledge of the area, has confused WESTON with WESTERN Island, Lower Bristol Road Bath?

Noticed last night that one of the lovely new Enviro 400 MMC's branded for the 1 & 2, was on a 45!

I think Weston currently doesn't have a spare decker, hence why it went there. I doubt Bath will see many more deckers, as they don't want them to start appearing on 14, 10 and 178/379. But there again, they might be wanting to move 32349 and 32352-4 to Bristol, so we could see some more.

It's confusing enough for locals - the amount of people who stop the 14 to Weston at the RUH and ask if it's going to Weston-super-Mare...!

Seems that dockers on the 14 has been virtually a daily occurrence lately, with Darts ending up on other routes instead.

WM should have 19 e400s for 17 boards on X1 (6), X5 (3), X6 (4), W1 (4). Not aware of any other DD boards

I can only assume it's always the same one as they're never going to get a bus to WSM from there!

It would be even worse if they had a place called Weston Island that was nowhere near the suburb called Weston!

Variation Accepted by SN: Operating between Oldfield Park and University of Bath, Bus Station given service number U1/33 effective from 03-Feb-2016. To amend Timetable.

Noticed today that some of the Enviro 400 MMC's for the 1 & 2 have some additional branding on them on one side of them. The ones I saw had a large 1 and some of areas the service serves between Cribbs Causeway and STOCKWOOD! Obviously some error there then! The 2's will probably have the areas they serve between Cribbs Causeway and Broomhill!

And whoever it was who said they think there will be MAJOR changes to the 1 & 2 this year. Nope, I definitely don't think that will happen this year at least. But I'd be happy if you were right and I am wrong!

Nice to finally see 69437 back in Wells at last - on 376 today

Also saw 69445 on 375 - which I haven't seen for a while.

I too thought it was Weston Island, but British Bus Publishing First handbook lists it as Western Island. I bowed to their "superior" judgment :)

No worries - they can be excused the odd typo!

First bit of low emission news provided today https://www.gov.uk/government/news/40-million-to-drive-green-car-revolution-across-uk-cities

One wonders whether that makes low emission buses more or less likely. I would think the former but we will have to find out in due course

The 33 - some sort of infrequent additional service like a P&R for open days or the like?

I see Steve White has confirmed 30870 is indeed at Bath.

Later next month according to Steve White.

Yeah, I read that just after posting! 66326 MV02 VBA on the 4 today, and I almost exclusively saw Geminis on the 1/2! Only about two E400MMCs and about seven Geminis. Also unbranded 37346 out on the 1/2.

Strange as i've mostly seen E400s :)

47569 out on 90 this evening
CT plus yellow bendy going in opposite direction through Temple Quay (heading towards Temple Meads - with 902 on the destination blind - won't confuse people at all!)

Also saw 42964 on 5 still in white - makes one wonder what they have planned

63078 on 178

I found myself in Taunton earlier today, and on leaving the station 60917 was the first bus I saw, on route 25. It has a pink front, not sure which FDC route it was previously branded for. Presumably will be painted out of this soon, into either BoS livery, or standard livery and then move on to another depot.
I also saw former BH B10 62893 on the 28, which I thought had been withdrawn. Looks good in BoS colours though!

The pink front was for its work on the Plymouth Park and Ride. They're reportedly staying to replace Olympians so may well go green?

Take it you mean 62193? It was intimated that it was possibly to be used for spares as non DDA compliant.

I did indeed mean 62193! Knew something didn't look quite right. Anyway going strong in TN with its own private number plate as well.

Thanks for info on 60917. Are any others from that batch heading back that way?

42925 heading out of Bath for Chippenham on 231 this evening.
A later 231 was worked by 66992. I never did understand the logic of using these dual-doorway buses on country routes, even more so now they are pink advert buses.

According to SouthWesterly, the remaining ones (60895/910/8?) are due to replace the last Olympians.

I think you meant 62183 which is dda compliant. 62193 is parked up now albeit in Taunton Bus Station.

With thanks to BOS I can report that Olympian 34179 was withdrawn on Monday of this week leaving just two examples of this type still in service for BOS.
These two 34176/178 are both based at Taunton at the moment but time is running down fast on these grand old workhorses.
Cheers, Mike Russell

I still think that we'll see the back of the Tridents in Bildgwater this year.

(Note I'm going to see how many annoyed responses I can get all telling me that i'm wrong and that they're all DDA compliant!)

Well, if they're Y-reg or later they should be.
