Hi,

I've downloaded a selection of old Dee-Kay Systems RTC and Shedmaster games. To play on a ZX Spectrum Emulator on Android.

However I used to play these games on my Commodore 64 & Atari ST but on the ZX Spectrum when I enter a command it will say Set No: so I enter 24 and it will say instruction, I then type in S1 for the servicing shed and it just says not allowed. (for Shedmaster Bounds Green)

Has anybody played it on the ZX Spectrum and can remember the Syntax of the commands you enter or got any instructions as I've looked around the World Wide Weight and found nothing.

Ah DKS Shedmasters... spent many a happy hour on those. Did you send it through the washer first... ???? I bet not..... :)

I knew I kept this for a reason, still play it sometimes, although RTC Penzance then RTC KX are still my favourites.

Cheers Flymo. You were right I didn't send it through the washer.

Thanks for the instructions sheet :)

I play Shed Master Bounds Green along with Old Oak Common and Finsbury Park. The problem I'm having now is they are in pre-Tops numbers for example D1595. On the download pic it clearly shows the number when it was converted to tops numbers. I don't have a clue about pre tops. numbers as to which class they relate to. Is there a way of altering the game to show the tops numbers rather than pre tops?

No way to alter it unless you change the core program. D1595 is a class 47. Quite easy to pick up though... :)

I remember well the DeeKay sims from when I had a Speccy. I used to enjoy the Fleet Manager Deltic one. I also remember one by a company called Hewson which was a simulation of Heathrow Air Traffic. I would be grateful for any info to do with downloading software which would let me track these down and play them on my laptop. I'm getting on a bit now and very wary about downloading something which might cause problems.
Many thanks in advance.
Mal.

There are loads of Spectrum emulators. I personally use Spectaculator which is fully supported with updates.

http://www.spectaculator.com/

The games can all be downloaded for free at

http://www.worldofspectrum.org/

It's all legit and doesn't harm your computer in any way. I've been using it all for years and never had any problems. In fact I might give a few of these old Deekay games another go! If you have any problems Oldrailman I can certainly help.

Has anybody got the manual for Stratford Shed master?

Or how do you send a loco to departure?

Cheers

it's been a while since I fiddled with these but I guess either send it to the departure lines (DL ?? ) or allocate a working, i.e. '0405'. See if that works.

Hi Phil,

CCC is only available for the BBC and the Amstrad CPC. You would need to install an emulator.

Bye for now,

Stephen.

I can find a BBC Micro emulator but can't find the game anywhere.

Where can I find it?

Has anyone got Power box Carlisle by Ashley Greenup?

I'm stuck on a couple of trains that say shunt req?

Does any one know what I'm supposed to do? Or does anyone have the instruction pdf. Please.

Regards

Thank you!

If I remember rightly, you type in the platform number ie at the end of platform 3 and the platform is now empty you enter P3.

I know that at terminal stations such as Penzance a train departs and you press p (platform no) and the loco moves to the end of platform.

I'm playing 1990 Powerbox Carlisle, where it's a through station, the train arrives in Carlisle from Euston and it says shunter req.

This is where I'm stuck at.

I'm playing it via a ZX Spectrum Emulator on my 3DS games console of all things. I've also got a Spectrum emulator on my Android tablet too.

I would think that the PC and Spectrum versions are pretty much the same.

Don't suppose any has the key commands for the fleet manager games? Struggling to refuel locos!
