Can anyone tell me what this means? The salary appears to be a grade 3 salary (£26,091).

I am awaiting the outcome of a interview a couple of weeks ago, and was told I would be waiting a little while to hear so would like to apply for this role too but as I understand it from the signallers I sat with after my interview the basic salary is 'topped up' by shift enhancement/sunday money/ BH enhancements etc.

Does this mean this role would not qualify for these enhancements? I probably couldn't afford to commute that far if I didn't get the additional benefits, hence the question.

£26,091 is the annual basic rate for a grade 2, I have never heard of the term "fixed rate salary" before. Possibly the location is only open Monday to Saturday on two shifts so will not usually attract Night Premium or Sunday pay?

Advert says the same as all other signaller adverts I've seen - weekends, nights etc.

I guess only way to find out is apply and see what happens!

Just a note, all signalling ads say this, regardless of the actual working hours of the box.

Other than that, ive got no idea what it means!

Apologies - the grade 3 bit was a typo, I did mean grade 2.

I will update if I ever find out!

Its worth noting if you are successful then you do have a training wage, which is normally the grade lower, so in this case £22K (I think) this is while you are training at Sig School for 8 weeks and then however long it takes you to pass out in the box. We finished back in November and there are some people from my course still yet to pass out.
