I see no reason why it should be towed?
Well thats what it looks like

Well its a diesel towing a load consistent with the jolly green giant's weight plus at least a coach or two for support purposes
You mean the standard timing load for most steam tours?
What two letter TOC code will it show as when it does appear on RTT?
This might be interesting

Can't work out if it is a trailing thunderbird or the real McCoy
I'm inclined to agree with views above that this is the schedule for the thunderbird loco shadowing the tour. There's no timing load stated for this move, and if it was the tour schedule it would suggest that they're not planning on letting any of the passengers off the train at York. That's what I was going to ask, as this showing as a diesel loco, is it being towed?
Thanks Cundy66
This schedule is only a light locomotive.
I have flu so bear with me. If this is the case what time does the excursion train leave London and what time does it return. I can't see these in RTT.
Positioning move to London back on tomorrow (following today's cancellation)I heard it was running down to kings Cross tomorrow to get ready for the trip on Thursday.
They said it is expected in Biggleswade at about 15:10 tomorrow.
Looky, looky!

This has to be the charter, surely?
Bingo!
Ps the 7.47 ex. Kings Cross now does indeed seem to be a thunderbird as it shadows all the way to York.
