Gillingham 1 - 2 Chesterfield

Pesky team, keep us just on the edge of thinking we might get out of this. A most unlikely win and yet one we had a sneaky suspicion we would get :) Squeaky bum time at the end there (predictably) on my most hated away end in football .... brrrrrrr ....

Blackpool at home on Tuesday is back to another 6-pointer - win and I think we'll survive ....

How much do you charge away fans. Not been to the new Huddersfield ground yet

Our "new" ground that's in its 21st season you mean? ;)

This season, matchday prices have been between £20 and £28 depending on category, with a couple of promotional days where entry has been £10. Away fans always pay the same as home fans, unlike a little team up the road I could mention... I don't think there'll be much change to pay-on-the-day prices but I expect Villa will be a category A game.

See you next season!

Man Utd beat Arsenal 3-2 with premier league debutant Marcus Rashford scoring twice.
United had several youth academy products making their debuts. Something I doubt they will see much of it Jose takes over. LVG certainly deserves credit for the number of youngsters he is chucking in.

Does LVG have much of a choice when chucking in the youngsters is concerned, bearing in mind the number of injured first choice players that are still out

All new grounds will always be new grounds to me!
I went to the old one last time we was in Div 2. It absolutely threw it down all day

I do miss Leeds Road, and I doubt the current ground will last as long- there's already cracks and leaks appearing! One thing I will advise is to have your refreshments before going in, as the quality of what's on offer inside is restricted to brands linked to the stadium sponsor!

I think it says more about the failings of Arsenal who look set to bottle it again, surely Wenger will be gone this summer?

Well done on Man City for winning the (what their fans used to call) Mickey Mouse Cup (or League Cup as their fans call it when Man City win it over Man Utd), beating Liverpool 3-1 on penalties.

Particularly pleasing for City's much maligned keeper Caballero, who confounded the critics of his selection by a sterling performance in the penalty shoot out.

Delighted for Manuel Pellegrini too who stuck to his word despite the calls for Joe Hart to play. Such integrity is hard to find in football and deserves total respect.

Before the match the pundits were criticising selection of caballero and Lucas in their respective positions.
I thought both had great games. Second time Klopp has placed Lucas at centre back and despite being out of position looks to be fitting in better than the naturals!

I think your original post said something about only 5 days until next game, "only" implying not being long enough between games.

Even in rugby we have a fixture pile up this year unheard of. Should only be 4-5 league games left, some teams have as many as 10games to play with only 2 free weekends in the schedule, so may result in Saturday and Sunday matches, as floodlit games are unheard of in the low leagues so most small clubs don't have adequate flood lighting for midweek evening games.

I did say only - any idea how frustrating it is to have to wait so long for another game?? Its been that bad I even had to go watch the Os to get a bit of a fix

I know the frustration, my rugby team have only played twice since Christmas due to the majority of pitches locally have been deemed unfit to play.

Banbury United 2...Bridgwater Town 1
Cinderford Town 3...Tiverton Town 2
Swindon Supermarine 0...Evesham United 2

Mixed results for Winchester City tonight in the title/promotion race. Supermarine losing is a bonus, we have two games in hand on Banbury, but it's a shame Tiverton couldn't hold on to their 2-1 lead at Cinderford.

1. Banbury United P32 69pts
------------------------------------------
2. Cinderford Town P28 68pts
3. Swindon Supermarine P31 65pts
4. Winchester City P30 64pts
5. Taunton Town P28 58pts
------------------------------------------
6. North Leigh P31 57pts
7. Shortwood United P30 55pts
8. Evesham United P31 54pts
9. Tiverton Town P29 51pts

Another great win for Darlo tonight - beat Salford 3-2 with a last minute winner. Stick that in your BBC documentary/Class of 92 loving pipes and smoke it!

PS - the match was segregated. There were 6 Salford fans  Altogether now: Come in a taxi, you must have come in a taxi!

Manchester to Bishop Auckland is nowt! I have done Torquay and Plymouth on a mid week from Darlo - THAT is an away trip!

PS the game could have been round the corner and they would only have needed a taxi ;)

Oxford United beat York City 4-0 last night :D To York's credit, they had moments of alright football, but were ultimately well beaten by a Yellows side which has now climbed to 2nd in the table following Plymouth Argyle (Oxford's opponents on Saturday!) being defeated 1-0 away at Barnet.

Evo Stik Premier League

Ashton United 3...Hyde United 0

Hyde did not appear to have taken any heart whatsoever from the one win for months in the league that occurred last weekend and there was no surprise whatsoever that in the "derby match" away to a more skilful side much higher in the league, they would once again succumb.

Just think, Hyde United spent two years in the Conference Premiership only a few years ago (the second year best forgotten) when they actually beat Woking 7-0 at Ewen Fields, in their first season, where they finished just below mid-way at the end of that first season.

What next...another successive relegation....perhaps to the Hyde Fish Fryers Sunday League next season...<(

I guess you were too shock that Hyde won on Monday night to posted on here.

The Evo-Stik League Northern Premier - Premier Division
Hyde 2-1 Buxton

As for Oldham they unbeaten run is now on seven but four of them have been draw.

Oldham 1-1 Port Vale

Believe we were poor last night and Port Vale miss sitters to go 2-0 up before they give penalty away in which Kelly scored from rebound.

It was a good 3 points for Bournemouth last night, 8 points clear of the drop zone with 10 games to go.

Come on West Ham (only for a Spurs fan at work to shut up about how the mighty Spurs are going to win the league)

Well Leicester City's 2-2 draw yesterday wasn't such a bad result after all.

Winchester City 0...Northwood 1 (Nicholas 26)

Winchester City are eliminated from the Southern League Cup by Central side Northwood. The visitors took the lead in the 26th minute and although City were better in the second half, they were shot-shy and missed several late chances.
