Hi all,

I don't know if i'm posting this in the correct forum but i'm after some information. My partner has recently been offered a job at ATW, as most of you will know, one of the benefits is the health care provided. I was wondering if anybody could give me the companies name so i can see if certain treatment is covered for myself.(i know i am covered but i'm after one thing in particular)

I don't really want my partner ringing up ATW to ask this as it seems a bit crass to do so. I also don't want to wait for my partner to start either as if it turns out this treatment is not covered, then i will pay for it out of my own pocket now as i'm starting to get a bit desperate (NHS waiting time is NOV earliest!)

Many thanks

Lou x

It's a paid-for system you have to sign up to. Different levels of cover provide acess to different things and different levels of payout. Not so much as private healthcare thing, they market themsevles as a 'wellbeing' organisation.

Never signed up myself as you have to put a fair bit of money in to get any reckonable return on it, and that's if you're going to use it. Also, as fair as I can remember, there's a 13 week qulaifying period before you can claim.

If there is a private healthcare scheme that any of my fellow ATW colleagues would like to alert me to and correct me on the above, however, please feel free.

But, during my time in Rosters, none of the appointments I have had to book as absence for traincrew have been private.

If it is a pre-existing condition that was diagnosed prior to the start date it almost certainly wouldn't be covered anyway.

corporate schemes may be slightly different , ditto with the 'hospital scheme' stuff

but pre-existing conditions wsohouldn;t be assumed to be covered

ok, seems this thread has gotten somewhat confusing. Just to be clear, i would like to know the name of the company that supplies ATW its health care scheme. Im fully aware of how these work as i have used them in the past.

Thank you in advance.

None of it was confusing me, it seemed it was confusing others. My only question was for the companies name. It's been answered now so thank you.
