Wonder if someone could provide timescales for the planned resignalling of the North Wales coast line, between Chester and Llandudno,

1) When is work on the ground likely to start? (As far as I know it hasn't yet).

2) When are the signal boxes due to close?

I would like to photograph this line beforehand if possible, and need to plan holiday dates!

According to Modern Railways the Rail Minister Claire Perry confirmed phase 1 of the North Wales resignalling scheme will be complete by the end of Control Period 5 (2019) - phase 1 is Fflint to Llandudno Phase 2 Llandudno to Holyhead would follow in 2021 - either bad reporting or lack of geographical knowledge by the minister as Llandudno gets resignaled twice ! Presumably Llandudno Junction should have been quoted . The Cardiff Area resignalling scheme has been defered until Christmas 2016.

I was with the Arriva Wales commercial team at a stakeholder yesterday and they advised that the scheme had been abandoned. Any chance that you could send me a copy of the plans please?
