Are 185s still the only DMU in the country to have a fully working hydrodynamic braking system, or has it even been isolated on these units? The 175s and 180s did have the system but was isolated a few years ago - are there no plans to reinstate it? It just seems a bit odd not to use a system which surely reduces the wear on the brake pads, especially on trains which reach 100mph and over.
