Just realised a claim I sent on 1/11 still hasn't bern responded to. Are they behind? I'll chase them up if nothing received by Monday.

It's now been 34 working days now. They said currently minimum of 28 working days so I'm going to chase it up.

It is worth chasing these up - I had one request from September which when I called at the end of October had apparently been processed without informing me, they'd just neglected to send the check out (it came a few days later). I suspect such errors are also a result of staff being overworked.

I had delay repay refunded to my bank account, but no email communication. Is this the new method?

I'm still waiting for one from August. Have sent two chase-up emails and haven't heard anything except standard replies apologising for the delay in replying. Have escalated it to Transport Focus in case they can help.

Call them, it tends to speed up the whole thing and gets action far faster.

My delayed claim was from August and apparently they had 'forgotten' about a bunch of August claims.

I put in a claim to VTEC on 20/12 for a delay Durham to Edinburgh on 18/12. Received confirmation email of acceptance on 21/12 and that it would be paid into my account within 14 working days.
