Droylsden 1....Hyde United 3

The festive season Tameside derby must have seen Droylsden with home advantage and three league wins in their last five matches as the clear favourites, but after a goal-less first half, Hyde then scored three times with Droylsden only managing a consolation goal. Hyde move up one place to 18th.

Surprise none of York fans on here are talking about there match against North Ferriby today.

Shame same can't be said about Oldham.

Sheff Utd 2-0 Oldham

Other defeats for Oldham and other game where Oldham didn't score a goal, no wins in league since 18th Oct and bottom of League one table I feel defeat against Fleetwood and Port Vale in next two matches may see Steve Robinson getting sacked.

Huddersfield Town 2 - 1 Nottingham Forest

A 4th win on the trot sees us hold onto 4th place in the championship table, but we have still yet to win a game by more than 1 goal. This was the first time this season that we've won after going behind, though that we did was an absolute travesty as Forest offered very little. If I was a Forest fan I wouldn't have been happy with a woeful performance from a side who seemed to down tools on 80 minutes. Hopefully we can make it 5 wins in a row when Blackburn visit on New Year's Eve.

You're going to get your first big win on the 31st, no doubt about it. 3 or 4 goals to nil. We're shocking.

I'm tempted to put £20 on Rovers going down to numb the pain when it happens. I can remember us being in the top half of the Premier League and playing in Europe, and I'm not even having to go way back in my mind. Depressing times.

Put it on now before odds become unbearable to look at after we get annihilated by Newcastle. I never got to see us in Europe as I only started going in 2009; but even then we were coming 10th in the Prem. Venkys are killing our club.

Don't go saying that, you'll jinx us! ;)

I'm just glad that we're being run in the right way- looking at how things have gone for your lot under Venkys (and Forest, and Charlton, and Hull, and Coventry, and many others) shows how easy it is for things to go badly wrong very quickly...

3 points at home today takes us up to 10th in the league and, more importantly, above blues on goal difference.

Superb result for us at St James' Park tonight, a 1-0 win thanks to Glenn Loovens' first goal for the club.

There's only Darren Bent! One Darren Bent

even better is that he's ex-Villa

Yep he took his penalty well :) He certainly enjoyed his little celebration in front of the Blues fans!

Another win for the Rams and we're now looking forward to hosting Wigan on the 31st. Oh and welcoming the wonderful DCFC servant Jake Buxton back to Pride Park.

Couple of big games for Bolton over the next couple of weeks, on the 31st we play top of the league Scunthorpe and on the 7th we play Crystal Palace who is managed by former Bolton Manager Big Sam!

Winchester City 0...Wimborne Town 1 (T. Holmes 21)

Winchester City's chance of a perfect December was spoiled as Wimborne took the points in the festive fixture. The visitors took the lead in the first half and although City had many chances to level the score, they couldn't get level and will likely miss out on team of the month to Taunton.

Tuesday:

Barnstaple Town 0...Bideford 1

Didcot Town 3...Wantage Town 1

Evesham United 1...Shortwood United 2

Paulton Rovers 2...Larkhall Athletic 2

Salisbury 2...AFC Totton 0

Swindon Supermarine 3...North Leigh 3

Taunton Town 2...Tiverton Town 0

Yate Town 1...Mangotsfield United 3

Wednesday:

Bishops Cleeve 0...Hereford 4

Slimbridge 1...Bridgwater Town 2

Full Table:

1. Hereford 23/63
----------------------------------
2. Tiverton Town 23/50
3. Evesham United 23/48
4. Mangotsfield United 21/43
5. Salisbury 23/41

6. Swindon Supermarine 23/39
7. Taunton Town 19/36
8. Shortwood United 21/36

We could have won that but I'll take a draw.

Most notably the referee actually booked two players for dissent :o

Awful decision to call off Reading vs Fulham tonight. Admittedly the fog was bad during the first half but had completely cleared at half time when the decision had been made. Good thing that neither team had taken the lead!

Fleetwood 1-0 Oldham

Game look like heading for dull 0-0 until one of our players own goal in 90th mins to give Fleetwood they victory. Rumours before this game was that if we lose this match then our manager Robinson will get sack, now we lost today so be interesting to see if he still there come Monday when we play Port Vale.

Another important win for Liverpool today, but a more disappointing result at Deepdale (a 1-1 draw) for Sheffield Wednesday.

We never deserved a point today but the way we lost a potential important 3 points leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

Whereas we should've been out of sight by half time but once again our inability to take chances costs us. All that being said, I am curious as to which game Owen Coyle was watching as he seemed surprised by the 5mins of stoppage time whereas the game I watched saw your keeper (who played well, btw) dawdling over everything from about 5 minutes in.

Hard to believe that deluded fool got Burnley promoted...

Owen Coyle is useless. Take anything that comes out of the buffoon's mouth as pure fiction. How you weren't 4-0 up at half time is beyond me; though I guess both teams can feel robbed considering the manner of your equaliser.

I appreciate that you feel robbed having come within about 45 seconds of getting all 3 points- I can recall dozens of "if only we'd held on..." moments in almost 28 years of watching Town...

But the manner of the equaliser, I can't understand how you feel that is unjust- it was a well executed (very well executed considering how poorly Wells had performed in front of goal!) free kick awarded for a legitimate foul. Your team's goal was more questionable given the shove on Michael Hefele in the build up!

Good luck for the rest of the season though, with the Venkys lot in charge you'll need it...

Darlington boss Martin Gray missed his side's game at Halifax on Sunday - because he was getting married.

His assistant Brian Atkinson wasn't there either because he was best man.

It may look like poor planning from the Quakers manager, but the date of the wedding was arranged two years ago, when his team were in a different division.

Gray, 45, said the club asked Halifax to reschedule the game "but with all due respect, they refused".

"As I am sure everyone can appreciate, moving the wedding at that stage was not an option," he said.

That went well. 4-1 away win. Clinical finishing and 4th in the table. :D
