Here's my YouTube channel for where I live - There's not much that goes on down here (We are the second to last stop on the South West Wales Mainline!) but we do get the Murco Freight Train :)

Also started looking further afield recently, so also posted a video from Bishton that was taken yesterday.

Also there was a 150 years celebration at Stockholm suburb Upplands Väsby.
So therefore more than a usual museum train.

5.1 channel sound and 1080/50p HD Video.

Please enjoy :)

Posted this last week - quite a bit of information on German Electric Locomotives, DMU/EMUs and ICEs, as well as some foreign visitors:

(It seriously took hours of searching to get all the info for this video. I had planned to put in audio-commentary, but opted to put it in the video description instead).

In case anyone is not aware, to get an embedded YouTube player to appear in your post do this:

If the original YouTube URL is like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGm0klp3uW0 - then just put the last part, the Video ID, (EGm0klp3uW0 in this case) between 'youtube' tags, like this:

...to get this to appear on the page:

The embedded player seems to be HTML5 on Chrome and Edge, and Flash on IE (on my Win 10 PC at least).

I wonder how many of you are aware that if you have below 10,000 views your monetised function will no longer work as YouTube has decided to tar everyone with the same brush...?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/2017/04/07/youtube-cuts-adverts-channels-10000-views/

YouTube is cracking down on users that post extremist and pirated videos by cutting off adverts for accounts with under 10,000 viewers.

The Google-owned video website will block advertising from appearing on channels that have not reached the threshold, in an attempt to stop people profiting from stolen and inappropriate content.

Good news.

10,000 views is worth, I guess, about a fiver on a spotting video, so hardly a large penalty, while protecting established and serious content creators.

Worth a bit more than that; I have about £3 built up from 4,000 views but two of my most viewed videos are not monetised anyway, so very roughly £3 per 2,500 views so about £12 worth from 10,000 pro-rata. They're not all railway related videos either, incidentally.

The point is not so much about the adverts themselves but about the principle of YouTube effectivly calling everyone who starts off on their platform a terrorist.
