I've driven in the 6 inches of snow in 2am in the morning. Shows how committed I am to getting to work ;)

Must have been the "wrong type of snow", madness how a bit of snow causes so many problems its madness. People who are defeated by snow like bus drivers saying its unsafe to drive should be sacked, its only a bit of snow, deal with it.

Yes! Only a little bit of snow!

Not like it would kill anyone if they weren't careful.

Not like in the theory test it says, "When should chains be used on car tiers?"
Answer:"When in deep snow to prevent skidding."

Not like it could have frozen aswell and caused ice to be under the snow.

It's okay if you have a 4X4 but for those who do not it is unsafe!

I'm not the biggest fan of busses, i meant that it would have been great driving through London with no buses on the roads and would be all for a bus free country (except private buses for the elderly).

I just think its laughable that buses can be stopped from running becuase of some snow. Yes i do drive and i find if you're carefull then you will get on fine with driving in the snow.

Trouble is two things - too many buses on the roads, most of them go around empty, like some trains for that matter but thats another story.

Secondly - Its mostly to do with Health and Safety saying that a bit of snow YES A BIT, can cause schools, buses, etc not to function properly becasuse of the safety implications. We must all stay in and not go anywhere unless its urgent.

We never ever have a LOT of snow anymore, now in the 60's, 70's, 80's, thats when we had a lot of snow (wasnt born then but seens pics and family talk about it) and then we got on fine there was not all this fuss.

Now you have to admit that the way people have went over this snow fall is a bit over the top.

So you've driven buses in the snow then, have you?
Since you drive in the snow, think about how little power or braking it takes to skid. I somewhat doubt that a bus is going to be less likely to skid than a car on the snow and ice, what with the increased size, weight and power.
