It's a 0.3 mile walk back to the railway station where we arrive in plenty of time to catch the 18:50 Trenau Arriva Cymru service 1V58 towards Cardiff. We travel to Cwmbran, arriving at 20:25 on Wednesday evening.

We next board the 2200 Stagecoach South Wales service X24 to Blaenavon (Varteg Road) that arrives there at 2217 on Wednesday evening.

Firstly though, Varteg Road is a very long road with about six or seven bus stops on it (Varteg Hill Terminus, Gladstone Terrace, Salisbury Terrace, Mountain Gate, Cemetery and Curwood). Which one have we alighted at?

Also, the returning on the 2220 service is probably the reverse working of the service you've taken us on from Pontypool, so I imagine there is a guaranteed connection.

Thank you for that Paul :)

Realising I am doubling-back on myself but merely trying to make use of all available services, we then board the 2320 Stagecoach South Wales Gold service X24 back to Cwmbran (Bus Station), arriving there at 2330 on Wednesday evening.
