Hi all.

Is there a green 67?

My uncle says he saw it with Northern Belle stock through Gillingham (Kent) recently. I can't find one online, and suggested Evening Star, the 66, but he's sure it was a, 67.

Many thanks.

There's three of them in Arriva "dark turquoise" livery for use with the loco hauled stock. They're the only active ones in green at the moment. 67004 is in the Caledonian Sleeper "midnight teal" livery but that's still stored at Toton depot, I believe.

66s and 67s do sound broadly the same so it could possibly have been the 66 after all.

The Northern Belle is usually DRS hauled isn't it? ...could what he's seen be a Class 68 with the blue/green compass livery? (e.g. https://flic.kr/p/VntyHC) I guess with their single "cyclops" windscreens, sloping fronts, more 'nimble' Bo-Bo size/look, and the fact they're not Sheds may lead to a mistaken identity.

I wouldn't really call the Arriva turquoise "green" (very much "blue" to me - but each to their own I know).

66779 (Evening Star) is on freights mostly in Yorkshire/North East - the only railtours I can recall it doing are GBRf 15 and occasionally subbing in for 66743/746 on the Royal Scotsman.

True, I missed the Northern Belle bit and that is DRS hauled, However I'm not sure why or when the Northern Belle last made a visit to Kent, as that is Bellmond British Pullman territory.

Aye, I was thinking that. The one flaw in my theory!

I think DJD200 needs to sit down with his Uncle and Flickr and check out a few options!

Thanks one and all. I may have got it wrong and it may well be the Pullman stock. Did see the turquoise ones online so will show him pics of those and see if he recognises them.

67005 led 67015 on 1Z41; the 11:16 Belmond British Pullman, taking passengers on a circular trip of Kent. Definitely no green/blue/turquoise to be seen here!

67003 was on the regular British Pullman Victoria-Folkestone working on both June 4 and June 15.
