Don't know if it's been mentioned yet (I had a search and didn't see it) but minimum post length on replies doesn't seem to be being enforced - see post #540 in this thread.
We don't have a minimum post length - this is not an option that exists in xenForo.

That's unfortunate. I created couple of blank posts by mistake when trying to reply to posts on my phone. :(

Hya, apologies if this isn't the right place, but I sent this in a PM a few days ago but I don't know if it got seen - it seems the new forum's mail host has been listed as sending spam ( http://www.sorbs.net/lookup.shtml?54.240.7.11 ), so forum emails to me are being blocked and this leads to the forum software deactivating my email address, meaning I have to faff around with removing the spam filter, re-verifying my email, then re-enabling the filter if I want to see attachments, or indeed, post anything. Leaving the filter off means I get deluged with spam, so I'd rather not...

There is an add-on available, if it's something you want to bring back.

I was already aware of this, but thank you :)

I haven't had any messages from you, who did you get in touch with?

We don't have our own Mail server - everything goes through Amazon. Having had a look it appears that your account is the only one having this issue. Amazon has published a FAQ which you can view here: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/blacklists.html and suggests that you get in touch with your mailbox provider. Unfortunately it doesn't look as if there is anything that I can do for you :( - unless you wish to stop receiving emails for a while whilst it's sorted out?

Just want to say thanks to the vigilant moderators and admins for their quick response to spam messages being posted on this forum. I just saw one offering fake ID documents, noticed a couple of you guys online...and it's gone! <:D

One thing I have found is that once you open a thread, it marks it all as read. On vB, it would only mark that page as read, which was useful for reading a page (such as on a lunch break) and then going back to it later. Is this something which can be changed or standard and unchangeable behaviour of XF?

It makes sense in a way to get rid of the Avatar gallery, as there were a few users which used the Eurostar picture (similar a few which used the 222 picture) so sometimes it could get confusing if you misread the username.

Although I miss the picture of the HST at the top bar rather than the Voyager ;)

I doubt if my username could be confused with that of any other user.

I tend(ed) to look at avatars rather than usernames. It did get confusing when reading a post and thinking "this doesn't sound like......" and then looking across at the name and realising it wasn't that person

It shouldn't do that, and it's not doing that for me.

Just tried it again with the Class 373 Withdrawal thread. Went to first unread which was on Page 26 so I read to the end of Page 26 and then went back to the homepage. It now shows the whole thread as read, where before, it would leave the rest of the pages as unread on vB. Was very useful for reading bits of threads when there was a spare moment and leaving the rest until later (usually on fast moving threads such as disruption ones)

I thought it was doing that before you posted it (as I thought we had discussed it) however when BlueFox mentioned it then I tested it on quite a few threads and it was behaving as he described (ie. only displaying threads/posts as read if you opened the relavent page).

I've just tried again, and it's not doing that for me. It only shows a thread as read if I've read the last page.
I can't think of any reason why it might be doing that for you, I've not heard of people having this problem before.

Nah, I don't think we discussed this one Mojo as I have only just come across it. I can only think the problem may be Firefox which still isn't remembering my login, if it is OK for others

It'd be nice if we could upload .m4a audio clips (particularly to the automated announcements board) because that is the format my phone produces.

Just tried it on my work laptop and it is working OK with only marking a page as read. Something very bizarre going on with Firefox on my home PC!

Do you have a pre-fetching extension installed there? If it's background-loading all the links on the page, but correctly deactivating on the main Xenforo index pages (and previously every phpBB page), it could explain the behaviour.

Now that we are on Xenforo, is there any chance of bringing back the 'Double Post Prevention System'?

I've seen a number of mentions of the automated announcements board in this discussion but what is it as I haven't noticed it in the forum list

No extensions that I’m aware of - I’ll have to check next time I’m on

It's a private board you used to be able to apply for access to via the user profile page.

Incidentally, how does one apply for access to it in XenForo?

No extensions installed. With everything else having failed, whilst I was hoping to avoid it. I have just created a new Firefox profile and so far, so good

I hope not - in its previous form, it was a menace, often combining unrelated replies into a single message.
