Last I heard was that it wasn't going to happen anymore and the designs would be used elsewhere in the group. I seen the designs in the September and the plans were shelved in November.

Who knows what will be happen with the demise of the other yellow and green buses.
Thank you for that info. Certainly was not aware that had been a plan at some point. Shame it had to be shelved. Who knows perhaps now something similar might still be planned.

Last year, that was the plan until another operator introduced buses onto a route painted yellow and green.

I seen the design of the proposed livery and it looked very smart. Based on the livery of years gone buy with a modern twist.
Oh so that's what I heard. Makes sense now.

The demise of other yellow and green buses? Is 66726 being repainted then?

No 66726 is still alive and well, yellow and green in Wells with no plans afoot to paint it out of 'Badgerline' livery. The yellow and green busses were those of another operator who are no longer as prominent in Weston as they once were and operated on the same route.

What has happened with Crosville? and what fleet do they have left?
AFAIK only one Enviro 200 remained back in September.
The Gemini's I believe are now in storage until next summer.
ALX400's are seen quite often still on the 100 etc.
The ALX200 is still in service AFAIK.
They also had a ALX300 for a bit in their colours to run the 67 route from Burnham to Wedmore.
I'm not too sure what happened to the Yutongs.
All the Plaxton Centros sold on.
Plaxton Primos all gone, 1 in a wreck in the back of the shed.

Anybody know anything about shuttle buses being used between parkway and Gloucester due to a death on the railway this afternoon??

Ooh the Crosville 107's!
They're the ones. They were introduced in November when the plans were being worked on to repaint the Streetlites which were introduced onto the 7s in the September. The plan was shelved at that stage.

Yesterday at around 10:30 there was an unbranded Scania E400 operating to Cribbs on a 75.

The new E400s for the U1 in Bristol should be being delivered over the forthcoming weeks. 9 should be coming.

The base livery will be predominantly white with a grey band at the bottom towards the rear and a red wedge across the front. The seats inside are predominantly red with a grey head rest and the bars look to be cream or light grey.

Opened up today’s Metro to see a photo of a serious RTA involving a Wells B7 on the road from Dulcote involved in a head on accident with a delivery van.

Fortunately, and somewhat amazingly given the extent of the damage, no serious injuries. Only the van driver needed hospital treatment. Thank god for that when you see the amount of damage.

May explain why 66936 is working there today.

66721 was involved and might well be a write off.

First and foremost, and it goes without saying, I'm very glad that there were no serious injuries in this crash.
And I think those who have commented are right, based on the pictures, 66721 will likely be written off. Can't see a thirteen year old bus coming back from that but you never know!

So why can't they put 55 plate vehicles on U5? During holidays 55 plate bendies will be off the road, why not 55 plate deckers from U5 too? Anyway argument over - if they put new vehicles on U5, would you agree to owing me a pint of Thatchers? If they don't next September, I owe you. Fair?
Now, I like the occasional bet so let's make it more interesting. If there's new vehicles (brand new) on the U5 by September 2017, I'll give £55 to cancer research. If not, you do. Sounds fair and it'll do some good :D
Fair enough on the bet.

Over a year ago, myself and Mr Harris had one of our frank exchanges of views, resulting in a bet on whether the U5/U6 got new buses by Sep 2017. Now I have PM-ed Tom four times but they can't have got through. As a man of honour Tom, it's time to pay up for Prostate Cancer (First's official charity) and I'll buy you a pint as well!

66106 and 66100 came back from the dead, why not 66721? I reckon they'll get it done.

One of the purple B7TLs is down Wells at the moment too, I guess it swapped with pink panther 32008. Think this is 32014

How do you know I haven't paid up already?

66100 did occur to me when I wrote that. I thought that was a gonner back in 2011, but it came back ten months later. Bath scania 65725 was another that looked pretty bad, but that is now back in action. You have just reminded me of the incident with 66106 - that was in Chilcompton wasn't it. That can't have been too long before it was taken permanently out of service.

If it's 32014 it must have been borrowed from WM as it had not transferred to Bath as far as I know.
