Why wouldn't there be? They don't change workings overnight on the day a franchise changes. It takes a timetable period or two for any changes to be introduced to services and workings.

I think what the OP was referring to was whether some of those existing services previously just ran as LondonMidland. Done. But now arrive from Euston as a LNWR service and then head out of New Street to, say, Coventry as a stopper which would be branded a WMR service. I haven't kept up to date with the thread about the franchise change, but i've seen the two logos, so I assume there will be different branding on the liveries in future, meaning some diagrams may have to be split or the wrong livered train will operate. I may have the wrong end of the stick, but thats how I read it.

Will train crews for LNWR sign any bits of WMR routes (for diversions) and vice-versa?

I agree - perhaps a better analogy would be when Silverlink's services were curtailed to Northampton and the Northampton - Birmingham services were Central Trains operated - so you had a London - Birmingham service which left London as a Silverlink service and at Northampton became a Central Trains service to Birmingham. Using a Silverlink liveried 321 throughout.

We still sigm and work exactly the same routes as before...For example at my depot we have a job where you work with a lnwr service to new street,West mids to wolves amd back then back onto lnwr. For now we work as before...Dec 18 timetable will see big changes to diagramming

That's what I was getting at. Will be confusing if you get on a WMR service but the train is in LNWR livery, or perhaps they won't repaint some of them for a while for that reason.

Tbh the whole thing is confusing stop. I was looking at a TVM earlier, the poster at the top was London Midland then the screen saver is London Northwestern Railway then the next page is West Midlands Trains... it all seems a mess at the moment. Round the west midlands all West midlands depots (wolves, Birmingham NS/snow hill and Coventry have all been given west mids ties so all x city etc will always be 100% wm units and trains.. its just wolves to Walsall which will have lnwr drivers, guards and units. Also birmingham liverpool will be worked by a lot of West mids crews from.wolves and new street.
