This might have been raised before.
In the introduction to the North West News on BBC1 there are scenes from around the area. There is a very brief glimpse of a mixed freight train passing over a viaduct, possibly at Northwich? The loco appears to be a Class 25, so the picture is probably 30+ years old. Not really "News" is it? They should update it to a 66 on a loaded biomass or something like that.

You might want to look a bit closer, it is an EWS liveried Class 66 hauling something like a rake of OBA wagons.

This is assuming i'm looking at the same clip of a train on a viaduct.

I have noticed it too. I thought the clip dated from when pairs of class 25s worked the limestone trains from Derbyshire to Northwich over the viaduct (Peak Forest or Great Rocks Jct to ICI ) for the chloralkali industry. Sadly I never saw these in steam days, I believe it was one of the last in the area and worked by 9Fs.

Oh well,in my defence, I have just got a reminder for an eye-test and it is only a brief glimpse!
Case closed.
Now you tell me! The next time I see Joel heading my way at speed, I'll get out of the way! :D

Well spotted. It is a very short clip though, and I need a sight test for new TV-distance glasses too! The front end does have a 25-ish look....
