Are any Northern diagrams getting strengthened at Dec 17 timetable change?

Naturally. But this isn't what I asked. Have any critical peak arrivals been reduced in length to the point where people can't get on them any more? This is not clear.

I can't say for certain if people are unable to board, but the 0612 Manchester Victoria-Leeds (the inward working for the 0751) used to arrive Leeds full and standing as a 158/3, and quite often when short formed would arrive Leeds late, presumably due to increased dwell times at New Pudsey and Bramley. The 0718 Leeds-Manchester Victoria (0847 arrival) would also presumably be a very busy service and is another service which has had its formation reduced to 2 carriages

Wasn't the 0612 from Manchester Vic one of the services destrengthened when 2T99 began running? Now that the 180 does Halifax to Leeds and is only 20 minutes behind it doesn't sound that bad. The 0718 from Leeds only being 2 coaches seems crazy though.

It's the following service (0643?) from Manchester which was reduced from 4 to 2 carriages with the 180 following close behind to mop up the passengers. So now from Bradford to Leeds the 07.23, 07.38 and 07.51 are 2 carriages with the 180 departing at 07.44. The 06.12 was 3 carriages until this week

It could have been the 0636 yes, although that runs behind the 180 and as you pointed out I thought both de-strengthened services were in front of it.

Northern twitter feed getting some flack today for overcrowded trains, passengers being unable to board trains and use of two carriage trains.
Blackburn to Manchester, Chester to Manchester, Bredbury to Manchester, Harrogate to Leeds, Seaham to Newcastle this morning and Leeds to Nottingham and York to Hull this evening were mentioned.

Can I presume that trains are not being 'short-formed' as such, but rather that loadings are higher than normal due to the number of Christmas shoppers? Not that that is any justification for providing inadequate capacity, of course, and I might remind everyone that, on Saturdays, at least two DMU sets are effectively wasted by having them operate duties which could be covered by EMUs.

There was a Clitheroe diagram that is supposed to be 150+153 (on a normal Saturday I think, not just Chirstmas Shopping Saturdays) that was missing its 153. People were apparently left behind as a result.

Passengers reported being left behind at Bromley Cross and Bredbury into Manchester and at York on York to Hull services.
