I have been a member for just a few days shy of 7 years. Back then I was still a young man and at school. Now, I have my first full time job as well as a part time business and part time BEng. Sure as hell that takes up a lot of time that I could otherwise be using to contribute to the RailUk forum, however I do like to post and keep in touch with the railway world albeit being more of a reader/lurker than the poster I was. :D

I remember when I joined there was a user very active with interesting insights from within the railway industry, the name was TDK. I haven't heard from him for ages.

He (or she) was last seen on here September 2016 but could've visited without logging in.

My interest in the railways has waned somewhat over the last couple of years, along with real life getting rather more busy and complicated.
I still have a passing interest and tend to have a browse every few days, but rarely post anymore.

Working shifts sometimes gives me spare time at odd times of day when there's not much else to do. I had a change of account at one point some time ago so this one doesn't reflect how long I've been here - bit of a survivor maybe

Sometimes I take a break though. As others have said I can consider people I know who are too busy, had a strop, got booted, lost interest or died. I've known plenty in real life, some I keep tabs on and in touch with, others I don't.

I have been a member for 6 years but over the past 3 years I have been concentrating on my job, family and health so I have not managed to log in as often as I want.
I hope in 2018 to log in more often and to catch up .
