I have a season ticket but I'm a bit confused by the new delay claim system that SWR have introduced. Am I right that, as a season ticket holder, I just get money back when I renew my ticket and so I don't need to keep a note of/claim for individual incidents?

When was your season ticket renewed, and how long is it valid for?

I think you may be allowed to claim Delay Repay, but I need to doublecheck that.

You are entitled to any renewal discount (if any) when you next renew as you are on the old Charter scheme, and any outstanding void days. What journey is your ticket for?

It's shawford to Waterloo.

So should I be keeping a record then? If so I guess I have missed out on a lot of compensation up until now but at least I know now!

Yes, just checked. You are allowed to claim Delay Repay for any journey since 4th September, in addition to any renewal discount that may be in force when you next renew, plus your outstanding void days which if I count correctly is 11.0 days since June 25th.

For Delay Repay indeed you will need to supply a list of trains and claim each one individually.

Thanks for clarifying - I'm annoyed that I only just realised this - this hasn't been made at all clear to season ticket holders, and you think it wouldn't be that hard for SWR to send a quick email/ letter out seeing as they have our contact details. Maybe this thread might work to alert some other people!

Just wanted to update this- after lots of frustrating email conversations with staff that can't seem to read, they have given me £100 as a goodwill gesture for the time that I couldn't claim for. So thanks very much to bb21 for your help with this!
