If a train is marked as cancelled in the National Rail Enquiries system but actually runs via a different route and is only updated to stay it is running, after it has started its journey, what happens?
Today the 7:35 Guildford to Waterloo via Cobham was listed as canclled. However it's now listed as running via Woking. For the stops Guildford; Worpolesdon and Woking it says no report. The first reported time is for Surbtion. Does that mean hmean it didn't stop at those stations or it did but as they entered the route in afterwards the system can't give a time?
The 7:34 is shown as running to Waterloo but starting from Guildford today, as opposed to Haslemere. South Western Railway say it was cancelled throughout. Times exist for that service though so I assume it stopped at Worpolesdon and Woking, after departing Guildford. Unless that became the other service on route. I find this kind of thing fascinating.
Just to add, I'm using the National Rail Enquiries App rather than Web Site. That may make a difference.
