Don't know how to embed video but Small Bones by Courteeners has a line about Virgin Pendolinos, and Yesterday, Today and Probably Tomorrow by the same band features some general background noise from Euston/Piccadilly towards the end, along with a line about meeting a girl off a train.

Funmoments.nl’s remix of NS is quite fun:
Also, these two German songs:
Sonderzug nach Pankow (special service to Pankow) by Udo Lindenberg
Es fährt ein Zug nach Nirgendwo (there is a train to nowhere) by Christian Anders

Does Dutch singer-songwriter Guus Meeuwis' "Per Spoor" count? Or is this too much? :D

(Video of Guus Meeuwis singing about the journey to see his girlfriend, with a lot of footage shot on Dutch trains and platforms in the mid-90's)

Translated lyrics: click here

Whilst it doesn't specifically reference trains, Runrig's Going Home is all about travelling back to Skye on the West Highland Line and one of my all time fav songs

My man a fellow courteeners song!

The cash machine by platform 11 at Piccadilly is also mentioned in smiths disco, as are the ladies of the night!

Rock Island Line.
Just on the title, and the fact it's by Bob Dylan, It Takes A lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry.
