What I was trying to say in my previous reply is that 4S47 never runs on a Sunday,
so I wondered if you might have been referring to a different train such as 4S49,
which is also a DB working, or perhaps even 4S45 (a FL service), both of which
are regular Sunday runners.

For future reference, just because a WTT freight working is listed in RTT, Freightlocate,
etc. doesn't necessarily mean it ever runs!

TOPS at 11:00 on Sat had 70802/803/804/806/811 at Hinksey Yard Recp'n

TOPS at 22:30 on Sat had no Colas 70s there, with the five above leaving as follows:

804/806 left at 18:32 on 7C21 Hinksey Sidings to Royal Oak Sidings
803/811 left at 20:28 on 6C25 Hinksey Sidings to Southall Thomas Clayton​
802 left at 22:09 on 6C23 Hinksey Sidings to Acton Main Line

So you'll have seen four of those five... which one you didn't see though I'm not sure!


Class 59 bit easier - 59102 was the other one.

Evening all! Got a few photographic notes to pair up from a fairly frigid trip to Tamworth on Sunday.
I'm after the units for the following services:
  • 1E40 (the 1330 from Birmingham New St to Newcastle)
  • 1V83 (the 1355 from Derby to Reading; VAR schedule): looks like a 220 but could be one of XC's 4-car 221s
  • 1F16 (the 1405 from London Euston to Liverpool Lime St): I got it as 390xx7; confirmation on which unit that was would be gratefully received!
  • 1A43 (the 1433 from Chester to London Euston; VAR schedule): a pair of VT 221s, possibly 104 + 113 but I can't quite remember!
Additionally, a 221 appeared to pass non-stop through Tamworth P3 at about 1338 heading towards Burton; I couldn't find any trace of it on the systems, so would that have been a 1Z99?
