To advise you, when I applied in November it took about 6 weeks to get a test invite. As far as I know people from that advert were still being tested recently.

Not sure if it was the 18th (guessing so) but I applied for the most recent Arriva Rail trainee driver position and got an email yesterday inviting me to the first assessment day next month.

I've not heard anything yet and I applied for the latest one. I assume that they have the common courtesy to tell those that haven't been successful in the initial sift?

Hi Peter. Me too. Received an invite email yesterday for 10 April.
Hoping I won't have to do the tests again as I passed them all for GTR last year.
Anyone know the rules on this one? Waiting for a reply from Arriva HR.

Cheers

Not in my case. I applied for it first time around and it seemed they told a bunch of people 'no thanks' just before they resisted it. I didn't hear back anything on the first one and nothing on this one either.

Applied on 15th. Status on their website still reports "application submitted" and I've had no further emails.

I would suggest waiting until after Easter and then perhaps call them to chase up whats what?
I think they are all massively over subscribed and you need to chase them a bit to get a response at times.
Good luck and I hope you get an invite soon too :)

Website say it take from 2 weeks and upto 4 months, so just be patient.

I heard about 6-8 weeks on last application, however a friend had his assessment 3.5 months after closing date

Do they do it alphabetically by name maybe?
Hi Nobby,

I’m pretty sure they don’t do the sift alphabetically. I don’t think it’s very well known how they go about doing the sifting. The only ones lucky enough to know are the actual panel doing the sorting.

Best of luck to all who applied!
