Hello everyone,

I have a few years before I become fully qualified but I am still very curious to know: Could someone please tell me the routes that London Euston VT Drivers would sign? Also, I presume there is some sort of link system so I would sign certain routes when I start and as I progress, I would sign other routes?

Thanks in advance and apologies if there is already a past thread about this but I couldn't find any.

Lower links (I don’t know how many there are exactly) sign 221 & 390
Euston - Preston via Trent Valley (and via both Weedon and Northampton; possibly via Newton-le-Willows as well)
Rugby - Stafford via New Street/Tipton (and also via Bescot, both via Handsworth and via Duddeston, and avoiders for New Street and Wolverhampton)
Colwich-Manchester Piccadilly via Hixon and Norton Bridge, Crewe - Cheadle Hulme, Wilmslow-Piccadilly via Styal, Kidsgrove - Crewe via Alsager
Crewe-Chester via Tarporley (and a remote possibility of Middlewich diversion)
Willesden relief lines
Wembley Intercity Depot
Euston Up Carriage “Shed”
Higher links lose class 221 and Chester but gain Weaver Junction - Lime Street via Runcorn and possibly via Rainhill as well
