Yes but a direct Brixham service would be nice. Not sure it would work but could do.

I seem to recall the artist-formerly-known-as-the-X46 did run into Brixham when I was a fish town yokel in the 90s. Might have been a fever dream, but Im sure I remember going on the coach on occasion.

Given the increase in traffic in and out these days, plus the traffic joy of the Exeter roads at any time of the day, I can't see it happening again. There's a reason the 46 has become very limited in the last few years. Add on the Devon Metro improvements coming soon, you might find that SC give up on the thing entirely.

Sadly you could be right I fear :(

I'm amazed at how badly Stagecoach Cheltenham and Gloucester (especially the Gloucester bit) manage route branding! Today was a fairly usual example.
One of the unbranded Gold deckers recently arrived from Oxford was on the 94. It's nice to see them being used (I assume they're for the 93 at the end of next month) however the route does have it's own set of branded buses.
Route 10 (gold branded) had a stagecoach standard decker on it. No problem, they may be short. Standing behind it in Cheltenham was one reasons they were short as a Route 10 branded decker was on route 97 (gold route with it's own branded buses). Slightly later the reason for the shortage of branded buses on the 97 showed up as another route 10 working was being operated with one of the route 97 branded buses. Clearly Gloucester depot hasn't got a vast amount of spare space however this hasn't happened suddenly so if the operations department cant, or cant be bothered to, allocate buses properly who bother with the branding, just have the gold bit!
Not usually one to comment on buses, not my area, but from years of experience the first 97 to Cheltenham and back is always operated by a 10 branded bus as it then goes on to work a 10 to Tuffley...Sundays are normally operated by ordinary Stagecoach single deckers, although last night an unbranded Gold bus went past my window just after 8pm, a full two hours after the last bus is scheduled...

Noticed that the 06.00 Exeter-London service, requires a change of coach at Severn View services, connecting on to Cardiff-London service, but cant seem to find where the coach from Exeter goes after the services, with no return working can find, what does the coach do after dropping off the passengers for London?.

What are the new driver change over arrangements for the Cornwall/Devon-London overnight services, The 02.15 From Exeter-London now does Bristol centre 04.05 and Bristol UWE 04.25, London 07.00 instead of 07.25.

I can't find an 0600 Exeter-London on the Megabus site - what date were you looking at?

Not sure how the driver changeovers work, need to travel on a couple of these services to see!

Unless I'm going mad and having really boring hallucinations, there was an E200 MMC running around on the S in Exeter this morning.

Confirmed on Facebook that the 5 E200MMCs from Plymouth are transferring, some have already arrived at Exeter over the weekend.

I wonder if they are bringing double deckers back to the 3 for the summer, saying that, is the coast road at Slapton still closed?

✤Stagecoach South West
The former Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire Enviro 200MMCs, 37440-44, are in the process of being transferred from Plymouth to Exeter with 37443/44 having already been transferred and replaced at Plymouth by Dart SLFs 35244/65. 37440/41/42 will move to Exeter when Dart SLFs 35245/46 are released from repaint and repairs are completed on 35243.
Dart SLF 35154 is reported to have transferred from Exeter to Torquay whilst 34610 which had been on loan to Exeter from the Reserve Fleet has been replaced by 34864 from Torquay.

Adding to the earlier postings regarding E200MMC's to Exeter, looks like Dart's to Plymouth.

Are the remaining older Solos in Exeter/Exmouth likley to be replaced anytime soon? The door lag is starting to be irritating, and there's been an increase in breakdowns recently.

Just found this thread and I have some information on Barnstaple's fleet.

Barnstaple's 19xxx (19008/065/093/094/095/102/105/106/107/109/110/119) are expect to be replaced immanently with Exeter's 156xx in replacement due to the E400 coastliners arriving but this is just the current theory which could change...

Are these the '10' plate Coastliners from the 700 on the south coast?? Just that some are expected up here in Merseyside imminently (first ones arriving next week so I hear) for the Liverpool/Chester route 1 (which is getting double decked....), maybe they're being split between the two fleets.....

So Exeter are replacing 10 plate deckers with 10 plate deckers. I know the 1566x deckers have wandered around a bit since leaving Exmouth but it seems a little bizarre.

Plans seemed to have changed slightly now:

15601/602/603/604/605, 15804/805/806 & 15982/983/984/985 are expected from Stagecoach South to Stagecoach SW.

So 12 ex coastliners, so from my reckoning it could still happen...

Barnstaple:

19008 - 19095 | Go elsewhere

15660 - 15668 | From Exeter

15669 | From Torquay

15799 | From Torquay

15900/901 | From Exeter

Torquay:

15669 | To Barnstaple

15799 | To Barnstaple

19657/658 | From Exeter

Exeter:

15601/602/603/604/605 | From Stagecoach South

15804/805/806 | From Stagecoach South

15982/983/984/985 | From Stagecoach South

The move is a mix of a new e400mmc delivery at littlehampton, and wanting low back seat Scania's. All the coastliners have high backed seats, and all the ones being swapped have the regular seets

The Falcon has always had an older spare vehicle, however until recently also had the Megabus spares to call on as well. Now Megabus has moved out of Plymouth it needs more spares (it's a long service and the M5 plays havoc with timekeeping even if nothing breaks down) so these have moved down.

Good afternoon, Im not very hot ( even luke warm with Stagecoach south east) Can anyone explain what is going on with Falcon route? It seems some much older stock has appeared...

Luke warm..... You’re telling us. It’s South West not South East!

The Falcon has to traverse the M5 and A38 and that is murder in summer so as well as a spare (58 plate ex Glos Belle), they have historically had to nick Megabus vehicles to cover but that option is no more.

Scuttlebut is that's why plymouth lost the megabus, when mega-control requested a spare unit for a brakedown ect, they were unable to provide as it was running as a falcon! A lot of the 'new' coaches are ex Scottish stock, which have spent a few years in a reserve field, so they're having a few issues with reliability

I see stagecoach are advertising for more drivers in Plymouth starting September. Doesn't this seem a bit strange? I thought they would have an abundance of drivers now they have 'lost' all Megabus work and the contracted 48 from September?
