Just a quick question , I know they are only 3-4 years old , but will the 377/6s and 377/7s be done at the same time ?
look at the pdf i posted above. they are not due to be done in the next 6 years
Sorry , I cant understand the pdf thing , how do you know which is which , as they all seem to have codes ?
Dry lease means it is the operators responsibility to carry out all maintenance. Of course, the operator can contract that out (to the likes of Knorr-Bremse or Wabtec) if it wishes, or does not have the capability to do it in-house.Think Dry Lease means all work will get done in house????????????? Please correct me if wrong.

Well the panelling has been improved at least it doesn't look drab now -blue rather than grey - and the design allows for an easier clean. The as built grey textured panelling looked grotty quite quickly. However I've said before the desiros age better because they have less parts obviously joined together to give that clean white wall effect without the grill heater sections the electrostars have
I was on a 377 recently and thought it still looked pretty smart. The carpets are dark so at least hide stains well
The sides of the seats in the centre coaches are prone to battering but not surprising given how narrow the corridors are
A standardisation of interiors would be good with a first class partition door on all. Units
The 377/3s have been completed.
377101 to 119 seats actually have a spring in the seat bases that makes them slightly more comfy. Maybe they have taken them out Everything is being done in house. Remember they all had a refresh about 6 or 7 years ago. Once again it seems to be a "mini refurb".
Im surprised the Southern livery isnt done away with as the name has such a bad rep. Also the seat covers are the same rough material. Something that i dont understand!
Ah, I never see 377/3s these days!
Are there springs on every seats on 377 101-119? I was sitting over the bogie, but I notice that the seats can be more 'sprung' in the middle of the coach. It would be a shame if they were bringing all seats in-line with the rock-hard type.
I really liked the Connex-style interior on the early /1s, but the Govia refurbishment wasn't too bad and continues to have a fresh look about it (possibly more so than the newer /4s!). This mini-refurb has maintained the fresh feel, IMO.
It seems GTR think making such a subtle change to their logo will make people forget!
