Clowns as in the Hex drivers? Lots of them are driving with MTR now! Remember, HAL own the tracks and the control room at Heathrow......

Sods Law has struck!

Signal failure at Heathrow since mid-afternoon has resulted in the TfL service being disrupted, as the branch from T2/3 to T4 is closed.

Instead of 2 tph Paddington to T4, there is 1 tph Paddington-Hayes, and 1 tph Paddington-T5, although the TfL twitter says services terminating at T2/3. Of course T5 does not exist on the TfL Rail map.

Hopefully, they are carrying passengers between T2/3 and T5.

They should mark terminal 5 on the tube map and put limited service only. With a sign saying during disruption/engineering works tfl rail trains will serve terminal 5.

Seems to have been a shake up of the way the platforms at T2&3 are used this morning:

Shuttles to T5 are now across on platform 2 - meaning the Express comes in the "wrong way" to platform 2. TfL trains to T4 running in to Platform 1 as normal. Looks like they're splitting the platforms between TfL and HEX for today at least - anyone know if it is permanent or is it just because of the current signalling problems?

The only downside of this is that platform 2 was overfilling with people trying to get to T5 and Paddington whilst platform 1 was virtually empty.

I’m pretty sure you can but can anyone confirm if you can use a Z1 - 6 travelcard on this service from Heathrow to Hayes now? Unsure if it’s still legacy following the previous HC restrictions.

Anyone know if the Oyster incomplete journey charge is the standard £8.00?

With no barriers for the Express at Paddington could someone get on and tap out an incomplete journey at Heathrow, getting charged the maximum fare but still costing less than an Express ticket?

There’s a full ticket check on board the Express so I don’t think you’d get away with that!
