as a rule of thumb i always save adverts for reference but the one time i need it i didn't.

Hope you don't mind me asking but with your location being Manchester, I take it they were OK with this? I only ask as I have an application in or Blackpool and I hoped that my current location in Manchester won't prevent me from getting an interview, on the basis I did mention in my application I'm in a position to relocate to Blackpool immediately.

I shouldn’t see why it should affect you mate, as they have given me the opportunity regarding a interview, I think the 1 hour rule can be bent slightly if your good enough you will get the job, my reason for applying for Blackpool are family related etc but not going too go into that too much on here, have you heard anything ? When did you apply ? I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed but what will be will be, there crying out for drivers I was looking at the trains from Manchester too Blackpool north this morning at least 3 cancelled and I know it will be down to lack of train crew, so I’m now thinking of driving tomorrow as if the planned train at 07.42 from Gatley to Preston is cancelled I would be knackered mate, as they say prior planning prevents piss poor performance lol

Thanks for getting back to me.

I applied about a month ago, heard nothing so I contacted HR over the phone earlier in the week and they said they were still sifting through them.

You've got the right idea probably best drive over tomorrow. Either that or TPE to Preston and connections there, but might just be worth the car fuel to give yourself more certainty.

I myself am out of said catchment so I find that very odd. Mind you they list starts for the end of the month so as with everything railway take it with a pinch of salt.
