They are also returning to service for the first time since restoration from a "Grounded North Eastern carriage" A15. The carriage had been sold out of service back in around 1946 and converted into a house. It has been restored in the style of those ex mainliners sold to the mining industry and used on their internal miners passenger services.

So it has been a week since Tanfield Railways' "Legends of Industry" Gala and Friday evening photo shoot. I've therefore posted 4 of my photos, 2 taken on the Friday evening shoot and two on the Sunday. In the first of the evening shots we see [L to R] visiting former Dunston Power station No15, residents Sir Cecil A Cochrane and Reyrolles No2 an Armstrong Whitworth Diesel and eldest of the three, built 1933. In the second [again L to R] steamer No2 home based Austerities No 49+20, visiting No 60 and home based No 3 Twizzell. In the second Sunday pair first shows No 60 on a train to East Tanfield at Causey Mill foot crossing. The second show No 60 plus the newly restored ground carriage A15 crossing steamer No2 plus Cochrane double heading a train for East Tanfield at Andrews House station.
