If it is a 185 then it will loose time as these trains are timed for a 350 at 110 mph.

In the other direction, it seems likely that the 09:10 Man Airport to Glasgow is booked for a 185 on Saturdays - it has run as such for the last few. Is it likely that 185s will continue to be used for odd weekend Scotland diagram for the long term?

350402 worked the 09:05 Airport to G Cen yesterday.
Rammed to the rafters, wouldn't do it justice. If that would have been a 185 it would have been a big(ger) problem.
People crammed into my carriage (D) and couldn't get to their reserved seats in A. The guard advised them to wait until Penrith to try to get down the passage, as it might be easier then.

I don't know how things altered with the timretable change, but there used to be 1 x Class 185 diagram on the Glasgow services on FSO, to allow pairs of 350s to be used on some Edinburgh services.

I don't expect any improvements until the new 5 coach units are in service (and I expect having only 5 coaches will prove to be inadequate.)

If anyone's getting stressed by the prospect of an overcrowded Scotland-Manchester trip on Transpennine, can I recommend the 1813 Edinburgh-Manchester? Always masses of space and, when I was on it the other day when the 1852 Edinburgh-Birmingham had been cancelled by Virgin, TPE soaked up both loads without a murmer.
