Having had an interview for a position it wasn’t mentioned at interview how or when applicants would hear back regarding successful/unsuccessful. In general how do you hear back and what is the timescale of heading back?

I had my interview about 4 weeks ago. It took 3 weeks from interview until I got a conditional offer based on references and medical it.
I then completed the medical questionair and after completion on the OH assist site it told me it could be up to 4 weeks for the actual medical.
So now I'm just playing the waiting game. Which is annoying as I'll be on holiday in 5 weeks so hoping it doesn't run on and I'll miss it!
