Taxis are usually available at Newark Northgate for most of the day. There is a rank within the station forecourt (only for taxis who pay the fee for access) and another on the road outside (just to the right when leaving the station).
This is the National Rail poster for the station with maps etc. There are telephone numbers of local taxi outfits below the bus information.

If you already have the ticket for your rail journey from Newark Castle, ask the taxi driver to drop you off outside the Council Office over the level crossing, that will save you the walk from the normal drop off point.

NNG likely to have Hackneys plying as stated in the other reply above.

as Gaz says have you considered a route via Peterborough if the NNG > Castle interchange intimidates , or travelling at a time where there is a direct train from NNG to Lincoln , there are a number of EMT services which do stop at NNG in addition to the LNER train to Lincoln in the evening ...

Please consider ticket type before looking at alternative routings (e.g. via Peterborough) as Advance tickets may require the OP to stick to a specific service from Peterborough to Newark North Gate.

If you have open tickets (Off Peak/Anytime), then I'd look at alternatives, if they're Advance tickets, you need to travel via Newark.

Owing to the vagaries of the NNG-LCN timetable there is a considerable gap in workable connections from Stansted mid afternoon so NRE throws up a connection at 1527 involving the walk. If the OP has an Advance at that time they would have to wait nearly 2 hours at NNG for a connection.
