I'm a long-time Trainzer and recently bought MS Train Simulator on steam as it was on sale and I wanted to see what the fuss was about.
One thing that frustrates me so far is that it seems you can only run any given loco on the specific route it was downloaded with, unlike Trainz where you can run any loco on any route. Have I missed something - for example, could I run an LMS Fowler 7F on the Great Western Main Line route?
Also - is it possible to get additional content from anywhere outside Steam? I've seen people mention different routes such as the Harrogate loop on other forums, but these aren't listed in the steam DLC list.
Finally, is there much decent quality freeware created for TS?
