Hey, has anyone ever applied to a job at TFL where they had to write a 2 page cover letter with their applications?

I’m assuming that’s to replace a full application form? More than a page for a cover letter is usually too much.

2x A4 pages for a cover letter is very common for TfL, as the application will often consist of little else apart from a CV, a few screening questions, education/employment history and diversity questionnaire.

Ah ok , so how do Cover letter only application work. If you get through that stage is it just interview?

The assessment process varies according to the role. It won't be covering letter only - you also need to submit a CV and fill in the application form.

In all cases, you can expect to undergo online literacy and numerical assessments before going for an interview. Similar tests are usually done in person further down the process as this filters out the people who (pointlessly!) get others to do the online tests for them.
